The Orange Pi NAS expansion board makes it possible to transform an Orange Pi Zero into a file sharing server for less than $10 by plugging in an external SATA hard drive. This expansion board is plugged into the 13-pin Orange Pi Zero connector. The board adds support for mSATA hard drives, at least on paper. Indeed, the designers used a JMS578 circuit to convert the SATA interface to USB. You do not have to expect extraordinary performances. This small board to be very accessible (about $10) adds 2 USB 2.0 ports, a power connector for the hard drive, audio / video output, microphone and infrared receiver.
